We made a pact when we were 7 years old to be best friends for life.
We fulfilled that pact in this life and have to say “so long” for now.
But most importantly, we will be best friends in the next life which never ends.
I thank God for sending His only Son to die for us, to pay the debt we couldnt pay. Because the grave couldn’t hold Jesus, it can’t hold us either!

I got to share some of your final moments with you and read the Psalms. Your nurse said, “This seems to quieten her alot to hear the Word of God”. I’m so thankful I got there in time to spend those precious moments and to know you heard some of the most peaceful words even written.

I was so sad to read about Carol in the paper, I still remember sharing our teenage years going to a few parties and teen dances together, when you were with Carol you knew you were in for an adventure. My brother Jim Hess was Darrell’s best friend from age fourteen till his passing a few years ago. I will remember them always. My condolences to her family and God bless you all.
